What a great birthday present.  Missy and I spent two weeks in Daytona in January - February this year.  The driving experience has been on my “Bucket List” for quite a while.  She surprised me with this and a VIP tour of the speedway grounds.  In all I got to drive for 16 laps.  Each lap is two and a half miles. At 150 miles per hour you can get your heart beating faster and adrenaline flowing.  There was an instructor driver in the passenger seat and the first two laps were used just getting the feel of the car and the line of the track - only about 130 MPH.  As I got more comfortable with the car and track, I ran pretty consistent 150 MPH laps.  Fastest speed of 165 MPH.
